Beaver Bridge Hire has access to number of very short-span vehicle bridges within our fleet. Short-span vehicle bridges are lightweight and are ideally designed to suit crossing narrow trenches and gaps.
These short span bridges are designed for use on site and within private locations. They are designed to have simple post and rail parapets or a low height tubular kerb, making them ideal for use within these types of location.
Beaver Bridge Hire’s range of short-span vehicle bridges (SSVBs) can support any standard road vehicle up to a gross weight of 44 tonnes over 6 axles. What’s more, they can be offloaded and installed within just an hour of arriving on site. This is made possible due to built-in lifting eyes which facilitate safe and speedy handling.
These built-in lifting eyes are located in the traditional centre points on the vehicle bridge, and also at each end; so a tracked excavator can perform a tandem lift and/or pull the bridge into place.
Available spans for this type of structure range from 5.5m to 9.15m in either 3m or 6m widths. The short-span vehicle bridge is suitable for use on most general constructions sites or farms/private estates.
